@JeremyVineOn5 @thejamesmax I used to run a youth boxing club & there are now many aspects the boxing in the training that promote discipline, Focus & good exercise, it takes a long time before any of the lads make it to the ring. Sparring is only one tiny aspect of the boxing world. I would not ban it.Ashley @evolutiondl • 25 Feb 07:35 GMT
@JeremyVineOn5 @thejamesmax There's a point where a person decides what it is they want to do. If two people choose to get into a cage or ring and fight for money, there's only two questions; Why is an audience willing to pay to watch (a market/ prizemoney)? Who's responsibility is it when they get hurt?Steven @Relaxed101 • 25 Feb 01:58 GMT
@Buster_H1 @JeremyVineOn5 @thejamesmax Anthony Joshua is the perfect example, he has admitted that he'd probably be in jail for a long time if he hadn't benefitted from the discipline and self respect boxing taught him after a troubled youth.Chris Logan @Christov79 • 24 Feb 21:32 GMT

Would you back tax rises to bring austerity to an end?
The Government's vowed to invest more in health, policing and social care without demanding more tax. But experts say spending increases aren't possible without greater taxation. Would you be happy with that? #JeremyVine https://t.co/QHJchm1JTT

@Buster_H1 @JeremyVineOn5 How to tell someone’s religion? My husband was born in a Muslim country but is not a Muslim. There are Palestinian/Iraqi Christians, etc. Hubby has two Brit passports because of his job. Why should he be targeted in such a way? Travelling is bad enough as it is.Ann Isik @Ann_Isik • 24 Feb 15:14 GMT
@madeabrew @JeremyVineOn5 It is still victimisation based on a persons religion. There are millions of Muslims around the world, only a very small proportion of them have any terrorist tendencies but you intend to tar them all with the same brush and you don’t think that might help radicalise any of them?Richard Aldous @RJAldous1 • 24 Feb 15:09 GMT

@dublinireland @dancer1970 @JeremyVineOn5 I didn't say it wasn't true that there are white Muslims. So by your logic then, if there are white Muslims, and Muslims are most likely to cause terror we should check absolutely everyone as anyone could be Muslim? Ergo there isn't any profiling?Lola Suggs @SuggsLola • 24 Feb 09:57 GMT
@JeremyVineOn5 Surely this is just common sense. Muslim men do pose the highest security risk, fact. How can this be racist especially considering Muslim is not a race?Steve Whitehead @Mistymountain99 • 24 Feb 09:57 GMT
@JeremyVineOn5 Pity we hadn't had this 20 years ago. We'd not have had 9/11. Anyone would be happy to be searched if they really cared about security.Brian Lawrie @blaw711 • 24 Feb 09:54 GMT

@JeremyVineOn5 As the main perpetrators of terrorism are muslim men then yes action has to be taken just as it is was with irish men in the 70s 80s . And of course that has its implications and downsides but racism it is not. Apart from any thing else Islam is not a race.Carrdonn @Carrdonnrboyle • 24 Feb 09:13 GMT

@JeremyVineOn5 Ryanair's an airline not an airport, but no. Higher risk flights already have have increased profile/security checks (El-Al, American Airlines etc) and airports already have 100% checks on pax/staff.
To single people out purely based on gender or religious grounds is just wrong!
