@DaleksGamertag @emilyhewertson On 1st Jan 2021 assuming transition ends then, they’ll be celebrating the breakup of the UK, the economy being wrecked and lives ruined. The selling off of the NHS, American food standards, workers rights being canned. More austerityMark Sumner #FBPE #RejointheEU @Chairman_Slough • 29 Jan 17:11 GMT

@emilyhewertson Very disappointing, Huawei are already so embedded in UK 4G & fibre Ethernet network it would take real political courage to order a reset. Bottom line is Boris let cost and not wanting to delay 5G to overrule National Security concerns. His first major error?Les stevenson @stevenson_les • 29 Jan 11:42 GMT
@benp1883 @oldsoldier9493 @emilyhewertson if the upper house reject the impeachment, his 1st term is considered null, and the two terms rule still applies. He could potentially have a further 8 years, not 4. The Democrats have actually created their own worst nightmare!Nigel Lusby @LusbyNigel • 29 Jan 11:20 GMT
@emilyhewertson Sometimes ordinary souls , such as myself . Have actually no knowledge of the facts covering a proposal. At my basic level China is dodgy and so .unsafe. At a higher more informed level I see many saying it’s ok. Despite reservations I will follow those who have the knowledge.CazB @CazB52 • 29 Jan 11:18 GMT
@adntaylor @emilyhewertson Never mind the cyber security aspect, what about the geopolitical side of things. That’s the scary part.
We really shouldn’t be getting into bed with China, people need to stop assuming that that have similar values to us. They don’t, they are a one-party communist state.
@emilyhewertson For what reason? What are your fears and why?Scott Johnson @scojo9 • 29 Jan 10:48 GMT
@KerieinLondon @jamiedchandler1 @harveybotblue @emilyhewertson 5G will bring increased speeds and capacity to the network. A lot of 3G masts will be converted to 4G and 5G.
Furthermore, the government has worked with the 4 MNOs to launch the Shared Rural Network which should help resolve coverage issues.
@DaveCarrera3 @emilyhewertson I watched Dominic raab in Parliament yesterday and it’s been on the news.
We asked the USA if Silicon Valley had anything that could match and was told no. There isn’t an any other option but to use them if we want 5G.
@DaveCarrera3 @emilyhewertson Only they have the whole package technology there isn’t a totally independent supplier of 5G in the USA or Europe.
We’ve used them for 4G without a problem and they’ve not had a security breech in 30 years.
@emilyhewertson The issue here is what has sneaked its way in to the existing infrastructure already. These products are usually pitched purposely cheaper, subsidised by the Chinese Government to get them in as they know they are hard to remove once in.Just Bobby @BobbyDazzler24 • 29 Jan 07:35 GMT
@emilyhewertson This has to be the government’s biggest mistakes so far it will damage our relationship with other countries.Ashleyj24uk @TUIGroupva • 29 Jan 07:28 GMT
@jamiedchandler1 @WillBates97 @disruptivedean @harveybotblue @emilyhewertson You can buy cheap poor quality products from US companies too. Don't generalise a country because you bought some cheap rubbish from Wish.
Xiaomi, Huawei, BBK (Oppo/Vivo/OnePlus), create superior phones to US alternatives at a fairer price. How can you not understand this?
@freddiestoplip @RejectRenegade @emilyhewertson The NHS has just received a massive boost - written into statute. The delay was entirely due to the wilful undermining of remainers. Fortunately it failed in the end.A.G.W. @agw1437 • 29 Jan 00:37 GMT
@Jamie00015 @WillBates97 @disruptivedean @harveybotblue @emilyhewertson Because they don't have their own, the US versions are much superior, which is why Chinese versions are cheap copy’s. How can you not understand this? Have you never bought a cheap Chinese copy & thought I wish I'd bought the real thing?Jamie @jamiedchandler1 • 29 Jan 00:32 GMT
@jamiedchandler1 @WillBates97 @disruptivedean @harveybotblue @emilyhewertson They are both made in China. You mention poorer quality for Huawei, but quality in hardware/assembly are on par at a minimum between Huawei and Apple.Jamie @Jamie00015 • 29 Jan 00:28 GMT

@disruptivedean @harveybotblue @Jamie00015 @emilyhewertson There aren't many; you would have thought you could trust the police, MPs & security exports to protect our children against terrorists & child grooming gangs, yet they don't stop importing them & ignore their crimes.Jamie @jamiedchandler1 • 28 Jan 22:54 GMT
@disruptivedean @harveybotblue @Jamie00015 @emilyhewertson No, I said it was government money saving, going for the cheapest option, saving money for their buddy’s so there’s more money for their donations. It is exactly the reason for the decision, Huwei have a track record of data theft & spying, I won’t be supporting the decision.Jamie @jamiedchandler1 • 28 Jan 22:41 GMT
@Jamie00015 @jamiedchandler1 @emilyhewertson They already have .. 21st century network (4g) were tendered and Marconi were expected to win a few items of the tender. @LanceForman @emilyhewertson Agreed! ...to add to Emily's msg: self determination and political accountability are the PRIORITY. Economic prosperity also important and yes it will follow imo.
