@ChrisHawkinsUK @BBC6Music Pushed through the crowds from one side of Glastonbury to the other, to find the Raveonettes on stage apologising for their instruments being lost in transit.
Returned to the mates I'd left at the main stage for them to rave about how good the just-ended Sugababes set had been.
@ChrisHawkinsUK @BBC6Music At Reading Festival I sat outside the tent eating noodles waiting for Elliott Smith to play what turned out to be his final UK show. Got all the way to the front before realising the stage times had changed and he was packing up having gone on whilst I was eating.Sean Adams @seaninsound • 23 Jan 00:06 GMT
@alexwinterstv @_Bands_FC @petepaphides @ChrisHawkinsUK You Are My World, Communards is doing it for me today. Tomorrow it will be different. We’re all still growing and getting stronger as life makes it harder for usJane Evans Pickard @janeevpixie • 22 Jan 23:15 GMT
@ChrisHawkinsUK @BBC6Music Klaus Schulze at The Hacienda in about 1982. Got in about 7 and just sat there watching weird videos on TV screens until I asked what time he was coming on. 11ish, came the reply - about the same time the last train home left. Never did see him play live, nor revisit the venue!Mark Howson @renkadima • 22 Jan 22:13 GMT
@ChrisHawkinsUK @BBC6Music When Roachford belted out Cuddly Toy c1988 in Leeds/Sheffield/Darlington, can't remember where, lost my voice fanatically screaming before headliner Terence Trent D'Arby even came on stage. Had to Top of the Popsingly lip-sync for his set. Couldn't speak for a month. #teenagersEpiphany Appleseed @FunkyAppleTree • 22 Jan 21:11 GMT
@ChrisHawkinsUK @mattyfwhite @BBC6Music Fell asleep on a speaker at a Walter Trout concert, and it was very loud, not because the gig wasn't good but because I'd come back from Ibiza that morning 😴🎛️🎚️Joanne Sykes @joglitter • 22 Jan 20:36 GMT
@ChrisHawkinsUK @BBC6Music If I get bored I always try to find the props cupboard or the old part of a building where there might be ghosts. A few times I've been thrown out of backstage areas but a nightmare gig is when every song sounds the sameRW Hedges @RwHedges • 22 Jan 20:23 GMT

@ChrisHawkinsUK @BBC6Music @slowreadersclub Finishing a 2200 night shift with some tea and toast at home, loved hearing Ghostpoet, just as I got in, bring on the READERS track (they were fab in Glasgow just before Christmas)Richard Weir @Rich_W27 • 22 Jan 06:24 GMT

Winnie Bad Back and the Laziness Socks.
@ChrisHawkinsUK Any chance of giving the new single by Empires That Dance a spin? It's a cover of 'New Gold Dream' by Simple Minds - and it is remarkably good.Ben @ben1987 • 21 Jan 05:10 GMT
Morning @ChrisHawkinsUK Hope you're well. My experience of stockport/stockers was having a drink in the queens head before going on to an L7 gig in Manchester it's self and finding the narrowest toilet in the world there! 🤣 great beer too.michael coman @RestoMichaelC • 20 Jan 06:28 GMT
