@ArtCrunchy Whenever I heard 'All I wanna do' by Cheryl Crow I heard the lyrics as
All I wanna do is have some fun
Until the sun comes up over
Santa Mon a couple of hours.
It really annoyed me as it made no sense until I eventually looked up the lyrics and it was
Santa Monica Boulevard

I’m an Englishman in New York

@ArtCrunchy Can you imagine the hostility of the media? I'd happily support the list, but I'll write down in a sealed envelope, they're response.Graham Walker @GrahamWa1ker • 25 Jan 16:31 GMT
@ArtCrunchy You can add Ferrero Roche to the naughty list. Family earned over £500M in dividends last year and paid £110K in tax. That’s 0.2%.The Tall Beardy One #RIPcompassion 12/12/19 @Snegreid • 25 Jan 12:07 GMT

@HPSarcastic @ArtCrunchy It’s sad we live in a throw away land. I grew up with make do and mend and I really wish we still had that culture. Everything these days is built or made with obselecens built in. No wonder the planet is in such a poor state.Ali Davies @Alidavies55 • 25 Jan 00:40 GMT
@ArtCrunchy Yuck, I remember them serving it in school. Looked like frogspawn in a bowl. I couldn’t even put it in my mouth, never mind swallowing it. Semolina wasn’t too bad with a dollop of jam in it.Ali Davies @Alidavies55 • 24 Jan 23:45 GMT

@Arachne646 @ArtCrunchy @RegisteredHere I don’t know how you can find an alternative interpretation of the aforementioned verse.
Because it is in no way an ambiguous or open-ended thought.
It’s a clear and direct statement.
There is no logical way to reconcile that with what you want to believe.
@ArtCrunchy So are they sending someone to check?Timewalk Project @Timewalkproject • 23 Jan 17:22 GMT
@Arachne646 @ArtCrunchy @RegisteredHere That’s a principle taken yo override a clear command. Either you think you know better than him about what he himself said or you are, as most ‘christians’ are, a part-timer.Commoner’s Crusade @WinstonNelson20 • 23 Jan 16:59 GMT
@ArtCrunchy Truth to Power brother. Unfortunately, people still believe in their tellievision.
Lack of alternative narratives in mass media,. Calls for a people's funded channel.

@ArtCrunchy @felledger One of David Cameron's advisers gave up that post to head one of the payday loan companies. So, they adopt policies that drive people to borrow money and then join money-lending companies to rake in the cash. Nice work if you can get it.Silverfinger @theRealRayThomp • 23 Jan 10:56 GMT
@ArtCrunchy I'd say education, the French teach logic. Once you employ logic everything else falls into place. That's why Give has my kids learning about fronted adverbials...Mike Ormond @MikeOrmond2 • 23 Jan 09:57 GMT
@ArtCrunchy This is so true. Perfectly normal in France for a manual worker in France to pop into a local restaurant at lunchtime for le plat du jour. No one bats an eyelid.Tricia Scouller @Tscou • 23 Jan 09:07 GMT
@ArtCrunchy Until that is addressed, acknowledged and embedded in discussions of history, as a matter of fact, without justification or excuse, nobody can move on. Without acceptance of history we are trapped in a prison of lies.Helen McCarthy @tweetheart4711 • 23 Jan 08:33 GMT
I disagree. All statistics in uk voting metrics shows that liberal middle classes are not the issue here.
Middle class liberals overwhelmingly vote for sociliam, believe in unionisation, and argue for and on behalf of working class rights and solidarity on the ground...
@ArtCrunchy Yes to an extent. But they also have a history of revolution and revolt, which this country lacks. The fact it’s a republic also helps; no deference to the upper classes.Allegedly Anna @MislaMonty • 23 Jan 07:28 GMT
@ArtCrunchy I don't have the evidence to give a confident, reliable answer to this.
But I can accept it as a valid working hypothesis worthy of exploration.

@ArtCrunchy In the UK the view fed to us from birth is 'know your place & stay in it'. This idea of your 'betters know better' reached its peak in Imperialist Victorian Britain but these myths underpin so much for us in this & the 20th century. We are only now starting to challenge this.Sheila Gorman Flynn #NotMyGovernment @sheilaRNBD • 23 Jan 02:44 GMT

@ArtCrunchy The French Revolution taught them that mass people power can overcome the establishment. Having done it before, they have the belief they can do it again. Also, no actual Centrist Party (2 Left, 2 Right) - Macron invented it as an anti-establishment style option of unity so weakSteve Pogson #BoycottPalmOil @StevePogson1 • 23 Jan 00:23 GMT
@ArtCrunchy And because they used the guillotine to great effect, its left a residual of respect/fear in the hearts of the elite. The handful of families that owned all of the land a few hundred years back in the UK still do, we just don't know their names anymore.pickwick @pickwickpick • 22 Jan 22:37 GMT
