The main problem with #IR35 @HMRCgovuk @RishiSunak is that even when it's right, it's wrong! How do we get specialist resources for projects when they cannot travel or cover expenses before tax? @Conservatives are only #BusinessFriendly when you're a big co. #FatCat donor. The Secret Project Manager @RogueOneIsh • 26 Feb 10:29 GMT
@Dougmacd9826 @Peston @RishiSunak I’m afraid you’ve been misled. Taxes are very important as a reserve drain, for encouraging/discouraging certain activities, to create demand for the currency and for wealth redistribution. They fund nothing. If the gov needed taxes before spending how is a deficit possible? #MMTSue Do Nim @tresselsghost • 26 Feb 10:28 GMT
@halfon4harlowMP Just been watching Robert being interviewed on @SkyNews about the forthcoming budget and fuel duty
Well said Robert, fuel duty needs to stay frozen or cut, any increase by @BorisJohnson and @RishiSunak will hit the people hard in the pocket.
It's a lovely new banknote @RishiSunak that will buy lots of boxes of @YorkshireTea, but unless @hmtreasury takes action there soon won't be a way to withdraw that £20 from a free-to-use cashpoint
@sulaAlice @YorkshireTea @Hepworthclare So lets get this clear, in your view its not @RishiSunak promoting a brilliant local British company & product, being he is the MP for Richmond, Yorkshire, offering it to his team as a thank you (bosses normally don't make the tea) but Rishi trying 2 promote himself!Frankie @franklin405060 • 26 Feb 10:00 GMT
@Peston @RishiSunak I find it amusing that you even think Johnson has the remotest intention of "levelling up" let alone that you might, despite all the years of accumulated evidence to contrary, believe that anything he says he'll do indicates his intention to actually do it.️ Andy James 🇪🇺🇩🇰🇮🇪🇪🇺 #HoldThemToAccount @andyjames20052 • 26 Feb 09:22 GMT
@RishiSunak Hey @RiskiSunak - Where do we get "(unbranded) tea" from as I want to add it to the weekly shop along with the bag of #YorkshireTea as unlike #Woke lefties our tops don't blow when someone from the opposite side of the political spectrum likes the same thing as me!Andrew Libra @andrewlibra • 26 Feb 09:17 GMT
@RishiSunak Whimp. Stick to Yorkshire Tea! Don’t let the limp wrists win.Voice-of-reason @mikecu67 • 26 Feb 09:01 GMT
@RishiSunak Are you going to put child benefit tax charge threshold up or have it as a combined family wage? Inflation has gone up around 2.4% per year for nearly 7 years since the HICBC was introduced in 2013?Phil King @porridge_oats • 26 Feb 08:11 GMT
@RSAMatthew What do you think of the hundreds of thousands of zero-rights employees being created by the damaging #IR35 reforms Matthew? Not quite what you suggested is it? @RishiSunak needs to take another look at this car crash legislation. @FT @bbclaurak @Telegraph @thetimes @DailyMailUKsushi_ginger1 @sushi_ginger1 • 26 Feb 07:49 GMT
It's quite a good con to perform a media-friendly 'principled resignation' and leave the next guy screwed because all your tax and spending forecasts were flawed/lies. #sajidjavid #rishisunak
And if Sunak doesn't increase fuel duty we''ll know Tory promises on protecting the environment and combating climate change are, like all their other promises, worthless.
@BorisJohnson @RishiSunak #LyingTories
@lou952a @ClaerB @LBC @eddiemair Another example of a small business closing down due to #IR35
Please “be aware” off this @RishiSunak @Jesse_Norman in case @hmtreasury are not feeding you these facts (like the number of blanket decisions taking place)?
You are wrecking the flexible economy
Thank you to Chair @ConservativeFOP Lord Choudrey for an enjoyable evening at @Conservatives #WinterParty Great to meet friends in celebrating an incredible #GE2019 win. @vmatkins @RishiSunak @Aliya_KCFC, Qamar Raza @shakarelahi https://t.co/6WvQ6kjuXAAhmereen Reza @ahmereenreza • 26 Feb 02:12 GMT
@RishiSunak Please reduce tax for small businesses as the dividend tax increases from 2016 are challenging to say the least.
If I take over 33K I'm facing 19% + 32.5% = 51.5% tax!
I'm employing people too, which isn't cheap, so I would appreciate any assistance.
