@primevideouk not a fan of star trek to be honest but the missus watches it over and over so that means i do as well. but...... Picard is great, really got into the first ep it’s gritty and i’m looking forward to the restchris bennett @dumper_man • 28 Jan 10:13 GMT
A lot of the negative Picard reviews from Those People hinge their poo-pooing on the idea that an ostensibly liberal society couldn't possibly fundamentally change in the decades of turmoil following a series of wars, disasters, and an unprecedented, large-scale terror attackJomBrunsDiv @jimburnsdave • 28 Jan 10:13 GMT
@justjanis In my queue at moment Chicago Fire, PDand Med, Death in Paradise, Sabrina, Line of Fire and Picard.Katie Docherty @KatieScouts • 28 Jan 09:31 GMT
@jdaykin What did you think? Of Picard not the music though nothing was as bad as Enterprise's intro.Lee Menzies-Pearson @insertgeekname • 28 Jan 09:01 GMT
I went in thinking Red Letter Media's re-view of Picard might make me like the show less, but it just made me like them less. 🤷Joe List @joelist • 28 Jan 08:44 GMT
@Hillview798 The Dixon Hill reference when Picard looks in the mirror before interview.Knazzer @knazzer • 28 Jan 07:50 GMT
@TreksandTheCity In Generations, campaign is how you christen a new ship and it was from the Picard vineyard. Also, the promotion ceremony was tradition. As for the uniforms, in DS9 they wear both uniforms as well.BaronSaber @BaronSaber • 28 Jan 05:02 GMT
Absolutely fuming that Amazon won't let me binge watch Picard. https://t.co/TmoEoQ77DIChris E @papoutsosik0 • 28 Jan 00:58 GMT
@TheRealAlienTwo @startrekcbs @StarTrek Also a resurgence of Trek. Star Trek Picard is just the beginning of what new wonders we will be able to perceive.
And though none may be perfect, I can't wait to see it and converse about it and bond over what we have in common, no matter how much we like the new or the old. 🖖
@nathlloyd I’m really hoping that Picard brings back Denise Crosby. I would literally scream with excitementTom Copley @tomcopley • 27 Jan 23:47 GMT
@Ballerina_KC The interview scene. I think it's the first time I've seen Picard so deflated and worn down. Sir Patrick's still got it.Tim Morris 🖖 @Trekkygeek • 27 Jan 23:46 GMT

Erm anyone who’s totally into Picard too, definitely seek out The Ready Room, there’s some awesome behind the scenes stuff. It’s v good, and who doesn’t love Will Weaton right? https://t.co/mZNTCeBz74 https://t.co/h4fo00bB3EDBC @daddybearcub • 27 Jan 22:21 GMT
@BaldPoints S'all right. Worth a watch I guess.
I'm on Picard myself like a big virgin.
If racism was eradicated in TOS for The Federation, then why is it a thing in Picard... It's set like 100 years afterwards?! #StarTrekSophie Sparham @SophieSparham • 27 Jan 20:36 GMT
RT @CodySDax: Star Trek isn't a formula, its a universe. Thats what Discovery and Picard is showing us, it's alive and evolving right befor…Drew @ConstantRespawn • 27 Jan 20:26 GMT
@Terri_White @jamescdyer @pilottvmag Great episode. I loved listening to you all waxing lyrical about Picard. As a star trek next Generation fan it was everything I wanted from a show exploring an aging captain.John Morgan @Morg007 • 27 Jan 20:01 GMT
No spoilers please.. I'm about to watch Picard followed by episodes 1 & 2 of His Dark Materials (Deliberately avoided watching over Xmas so I could binge watch the steel book blu-ray received today..)Andy Lee @metalpirate77 • 27 Jan 19:48 GMT
@raecarson I think Captain Jean-Luc Picard still has Borg technology in him that's how he heard the Whispers in Star Trek first Contact.Ashley @evolutiondl • 27 Jan 19:33 GMT
@Kello_Ren haha, yep. It's definitely something that would be very good to see. I like what they're doing with Picard as well. Seeing how they're dealing with both Nemesis & the 2009 Abrams Trek film is very surprising and cool to see.Andy Peachey @Andy_peachey • 27 Jan 19:12 GMT
Just gave Picard episode 1 a watch. Really good mix of nostalgia and new things to come! Really hating that Amazon are staggering the episode releases though.
Never mind, his dog is called Number One, and that’s just amazing https://t.co/hvFxMioZlG
@adamwritings It's great isn't it! It took me a while to get used to Picard & Data being in something "modern" if you get what I mean. It's very clearly not going to be the same, and is all the better for it IMO.AJ @ja9ae • 27 Jan 18:50 GMT
@jessiegender @redlettermedia They just pointed out the clumsy way the writers of Picard forced real world allegory into the show. Their point is the show is created by people who don't quite get the underlying theme of the franchise. Everything gets better.Neil Hunter @njh4471 • 27 Jan 17:58 GMT
Finally got round to seeing Star Trek Picard.
Fantastic. I'm absolutely fascinated to see where this is going. As a fan of Trek for years I'm kinda overwhelmed on seeing Picard & Data again. The quality was excellent.
I have a few issues, but overwhelmingly, brilliant.

Too much fan service is bad, but I wouldn't mind a little Q action in Picard somewhere. Maybe a Moriarty reference... too interesting and too relevant to the current series to leave w/o closure surely? For Q don't care, anything and I'll be happy as a targ with a bone #PicardΓΥΛΠ LΛΥΠΞ @RDCLayne • 27 Jan 17:16 GMT

@hayleyriamusic @themistyshow Well the last Dr Who (Sunday's) completely sends things in a totally wild direction, maybe worth a quick catch up. Picard though I think you're gonna love. Have you seen Nemesis? It does reference this xJohn Isherwood @johnisherwood • 27 Jan 16:48 GMT
Spoiler babies, your time is up.
You have held the social media accounts (of the serious fans) at ransom for long enough. If you have not seen it by now, you’re to labelled a ‘casual viewer’ and not worthy of our protection.

@TheIronNurse @Timelord2112 @exodus803 @NCC2020A @dramadork884 Picard was renewed for a second season, which according to them had been cancelled. Every season of Discovery is getting cancelled according to them. Just because they sometimes report real news, it doesn’t make the lies any better.Cody 🏳️ @CodySDax • 27 Jan 16:36 GMT
